Initial Thoughts

So, this is my first attempt to write a blog. This has been an interesting experience so far, which has included needing to ask my 12 year old how to make this happen! Of course that resulted in him creating his own blog and rolling eyes at me with disdain..... So, I am trying on my own.

I am very torn about the whole thing... There is something very American about writing for yourself and posting it for the world to see. A very in your face approach; however, try searching the number of blogs out there and you will soon see (as I just did) that the world is blogging, and blogging heavily on everything good and bad. So, I guess jumping (a bit late) on the band wagon is not so abnormal.

In fact I need to thank my friend's son (a Brit!) for getting me into this world. If a 9 year old can create his own blog (reviewing the books he's read) then I can write about life. But what to write....

Stay tuned.... As a Brit (A Londoner at that) currently living in the South (a whole different experience) there are MANY thoughts about America in the year 2009 that is worth commenting on.....
